I recently purchased an IMac and the price of this plan through them was $170.00. Amazon's price could not be beat.Even my son, who was an Apple Tech at the time, said this was a supper deal.
I don`t usually buy extended warranties, but computer repairs can be expensive and this gives me peace of mind and is an excellent value.
They know how to do things that can be a frustration for you.We did have a crack in a laptop case and it was repaired the same day when we were able to get near an Apple Store (nearest is 3 hrs away). We could not believe how fast they worked and no charge to us.By the way, the laptop cases have been re-designed so do not fear to buy one now. I only found one person who rushed his response. We do use them a lot. They sent us a box which we used to ship the computer.
When the three years is up, we buy a new computer and start over. Sometimes it is something as simple (for them) as asking me to remove some downloaded software that is slowing the computer. I am very fond of Applecare and the people are always helpful and polite. The next morning they were already working on it and the following day it was returned in beautiful condition. We always buy the Applecare for our Apple computers.
I have found that if I can not figure out how to do something even with the good help that is built into Apples, I can call and someone will walk me through the problem. Edited to add that our laptop case cracked again and we told them we wanted to ship it.
By far, the best tech support ever. It's worth every dime. Call them. Have trouble syncing your ipod to the computer. Can't figure out why the internet is not working on your computer. They also having amazing telephone support. Call them. They actually answer the phone without huge waits or long phone menus.
This is one of those hard things to review since it's essentially an insurance policy for your Mac. I haven't had to use it yet, so my experience has been non-existent, but I do have the peace of mind that if I do need it, it is there for me.
